Tile Crank
Tile Cranks are used to support tiles in the kiln. The uprights (legs) slot into a base/cover at either end producing a frame into which the tiles are placed. Ledges protruding from the uprights support the tiles. Use our refractory cement to give a secure and rigid assembly. Two base/covers and either three or four uprights as indicated are needed for each set.
Separate legs can be purchased.

Ceramic Buttons
Ceramic buttons used to attach ceramic fibre to the internal dimensions of a kiln.
To attach: place buttons over fibre and thread nichrome wire (high temp) through button fibre and kiln surface.Secure connection by twisting wire on top of cover...careful not to compress fibre as you will lose some insulating quality.

Raku burner set
A Propane Raku burner set (propane cylinder not included). This is a 32 Kilowatt burner, large enough to fire a Raku kiln built of an oil drum or smaller. It has a flame failure device fitted that will shut the gas off if the flame goes out.
The burner flame is adjusted by the variable regulator at the cylinder end. The burner is turned on/off with the yellow leaver by the burner.

Refractory Kiln Cement
High temperature kiln cement comes in ready made liquid paste form. General purpose air setting cement use to join bricks, fibre, kiln repairs or fill in cracks.

Rigidiser
500ml
An inorganic liquid hardening agent for ceramic fibre blanket and board. It produces a hard surface finish with increased resistance to mechanical abrasion and to gas flow erosion. Hardener can be applied by brushing, spraying or dipping.
Rigidiser will help the walls of the kiln made with blanket fibre from being too flaky.
