Description
The TE-S series of top loading kilns are high quality kilns for every day applications in professional ceramic workshops who are regularly firing to high temperatures. They combine state-of-the-art technology with high durability. The ROHDE TE-S series of kilns are designed to be expandable in size, so you can start with a smaller model and then grow to a larger size later. Designed to be deconstructed for easier installation when accrss is limited. The main cylinder with lid, base and legs can be separated to go through a narrow doorway (>550mm). The top temperature is 1320°C; however, it is designed for a daily working temperature of 1280°C.
The S series of kiln is available with bottom heating. Note, it will need an additional 3kw.
Disassembly
The kiln can be disassembled easily into several parts for on-site delivery. The toploader’s design allows its individual parts to fit through doors with a width of 55 cm.
Extendability
The kiln volume of this toploader TE series can be increased by up to 50% by simply fitting or even retrofitting an additional heatable extension ring (ZWR). Mount the ring, connect the kiln to the mains supply and continue working with 50% more firing capacity.
Kilns with increasing volume potential:
- TE 80 S becomes the TE 100 S
- TE 95 S becomes the TE 145 S
- TE 130 S becomes the TE 200 S
- TE 165 S becomes the TE 250 S
Kanthal A1 Elements
The TE-S range, utilises Kanthal A1 elements (which are widely regarded as the best quality elements available), ensuring unbeatable reliability and durability.
Protected Thermocouple
Thermocouples and elements are fitted in a protected position, inset into the bricks.
Reversible Kiln Stand
The kiln stand can be turned upside-down. This allows the kiln to be used at two different working heights. The toploader can be adjusted to your individual needs and makes loading and unloading of the firing chamber much easier on the back.
New Gas Pressure Spring-Supported Opening Mechanism
The sturdy lid construction is supported by gas pressure springs that allow easy, effortless and safe opening of the lid.
Connectivity With Mykiln App
Controllers work with ‘Mykiln App’. Watch and edit your kiln firings from the comfort of your armchair.

This kiln is available as single phase or 3-phase. In the UK the majority of homes have a single phase supply (the standard three wires: live, neutral and earth). 3-phase supplies (five wires) are usually only found in industrial or commercial settings, so please check which connection type you require before ordering. In either case this kiln will need to be connected by a qualified electrician.

Controllers & App
The new European ST 310 Stafford controller uses its simple firing graph to easily see what stage your firing is in. The ST 310 is a standard issue with a Rohde kiln but you can upgrade to the ST 411 for more program spaces and segments.
