Firing Range: 1000°C-1150°C
K 144 is a black earthenware body. It's smooth texture makes it ideal for throwing. The final fired colour ranges from dark brown at 1040°C through to black at 1140°C

"First time using this. Lovely clay to work with and I used it for hand building, however when fired at 1140c the surface bloated and left visible bubbles. Apparently I should have fired at a much lower temperature first. Unfortunately this information wasn’t available on the website underneath the product which would have helped. Hopefully this review will help someone else. Recommend a low bisque before any higher firings! "
