Sea-Mist LoStone

LoStone Sea Mist is a delicate light grey stoneware clay with soft, pale blue undertones at lower firing temperatures. It's subtle colouring evokes a cool, tranquil quality, lending an understated elegance to both functional and decorative ceramics.

As part of our pioneering LoStone range, Sea Mist is the UK’s first low-fire stoneware, vitrifying beautifully at 1160°c. Traditionally, stoneware requires higher firing temperatures, but LoStone Sea Mist reimagines this standard, delivering the strength, durability, and refined surface of high-fire stoneware at significantly lower temperatures.

LoStone Sea Mist is ideal for throwing, modelling, and casting, with a smooth, consistent texture that’s a pleasure to work with. Its soft grey tone and subtle blue undertones respond beautifully to a range of glazes, slips, and oxides. With it's lower firing range, Sea Mist provides potters and educators with a sustainable, cost-effective stoneware that embodies both elegance and efficiency.
