Firing Rod 5mm Thick

5mm diameter.

For temperatures upto 1250 °C (depending on load!)

Used to support beads, rings and other small articles during kiln firing. The Bars are designed with a special, high temperature alloy that retains strength in the extreme heat required for ceramic firing.

The rods may bend and will blacken in the kiln but this is completely normal. Please note the rods get weaker the higher you fire. It is important not to over load the rod and to space pieces well apart in case the rod bends.
