Potters Plaster POTP
A high grade plaster used to produce working moulds. Mixing ratio Approx.
Approx. 1 litre water† to 1.3kg plaster.
This is an approximate measurement so the best way to mix plaster is to measure out your water and plaster, sprinkle plaster into the water one scoop at a time untill it settles,when the plaster forms a small island in the centre of the bowl ( or you can see a layer of plaster below the surface) , it is ready to stir, break up any lumps with your fingers as you stir. Be careful not to iadd any air bubbles to the mix.
Leave to set for about 15-30 minutes
Pottery Plaster is the basic "beta" Plaster used extensively in slip casting of ceramics.
It is economical and its high porosity give good speed in production.
