Turquoise Crackle Earthenware Glaze BOTZ/9352
Turquoise, transparent, glossy crackle glaze, must be applied in 1-2 thin layers only since it tends to run strongly .Apply only a thin layer of the latter, i.e., without dilution or 1 – 2 times slightly diluted.
To prevent formation blisters, biscuit fire at 1000 ∞C.
Colour crazing with ink or strong tea.
For large crazing apply colour after cooling. For a finer crackle wait up to a week.
If crackles did not develop, the glaze can also be removed from the kiln at approx. 100 ∞C and quenched with cold water.
Ready mixed in brush-on form. Distincive and colourful effects which vary with thickness and the surface to which they are applied. These glazes meet all COSHH and CHIP safety regulations. Leadless but also zinc cadmium and antimony free and so are especially safe for use in schools.
