CUSTOMER SERVICE/GENERAL ASSISTANT

JOB DESCRIPTION

The role of the part time customer service assistant/general assistant is to ensure that all customer service expectations are met when it comes to either face to face/telephone or email interactions with customers.

EXPECTATIONS

• Accuracy and efficiency in trying to 'get as much done' as possible during each working day and ensuring all jobs are completed by the end of the shift

• Initiative and proactive approach to high selling/fast moving items in the shop and making sure all are re-stocked where possible during quiet times

• 'Can do' attitude and doing anything to help colleagues and customers

• Showing initiative during quieter times by either re-stocking, pricing of new deliveries, asking what can be done, price checks on the system etc.

MAIN DUTIES WOULD INCLUDE:

• Answering of phone calls and all technical related queries in the shop/office and website

• Dealing with general enquiries and taking/advising on telephone orders

• Giving helpful and friendly advice to all customers in our shop.

• Confident in operating kilns and firing to different programmes

• Good knowledge of kilns, wheels and equipment to advise to customers needs

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree level educated or extensive knowledge of Ceramics

• Must have a good knowledge of Kilns and wheels and be able to trouble shoot and identify and potential problems

• Confident in selling and talking about Kilns and Wheels

• Be of good physical health to be able to heavy lift on a daily basis

Part Time Web Order Assistant

Bath Potters Supplies are looking for a friendly part time member of staff to work anything from between 15-22.5hrs a week or even more! Bath Potters Supplies is a family business specialising in Pottery supplies to Schools and institutions, experienced potters and also amateur or hobby potters. As a multi-faceted business (Website, Wholesale & Retail) we need a general assistant to help with the following duties:

• Packing of Web orders, from small packages up to 25kg cartons

• Answering of phone calls in the shop/office and dealing with general enquiries and taking/advising on telephone orders

• Giving helpful and friendly advice to all customers in our shop.

The ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment and be able to work to tight deadlines as same day dispatch is critical to us. Key skills we are looking for is: self-motivated, accuracy, be able to work under pressure and speed!
