Firing Range: 1150°C-1280°C

Classic Reduction St Thomas is Reduction St Thomas 150-1104 with added iron to give fired results more akin to the ‘old’ Reduction St Thomas body of the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s

Over the years, whilst the R/STS recipe has remained the same, natural raw materials have inevitably changed as mining progressed and the market has required a more refining clay production process.  This has changed the aesthetic fired character of the body to a degree and so Classic Reduction St Thomas has been developed to recreate the warmer colour and stronger iron-flashing that would have been attainable by reduction firing R/STS produced during the 1960s and 70s.
