Firing Range: 1080°C-1260°C

Black Chunky Sculpture Clay has a beautiful texture and is excellent for big sculptures and murals. It is a strong body with very low shrinkage, good for building rugged sculptural forms. It's robust nature also makes it ideal for architectural ceramics. Black Chunky Sculpture Clay is the clay for everything from large slabs to sculptural work.

Scarva Professional Black Clay bodies, PF660, PF670 & PF680 are not suitable for making Domestic Tableware.

"I have found this clay hard to work with as it it very messy and hard to get clean shapes with it as I am building sculptures with it"

"First time I’ve used this clay. Unusual texture, difficult to hand build when too wet. I was surprised this clay was red, I expected a black clay, however, only fired to 1000’, not sure if it turns black at higher temperature . I would definitely try this again "
