Mudtool Bump Tool
Description
The Baby Bump has nothing to do with becoming a parent. Its all about you being able to 'bump out' or alter the clay when working in a hollow form or cylinder. Smaller than the Bump, but longer than your hand, the Baby Bump is designed to extend the potters or sculptors reach up to 13 inches. It gives you the leverage you need to move clay or heal seams where your hand cant reach. The aluminum rod is stiff and shipped straight, but it can be altered to suit your individual need for throwing or hand building clay. It is bendable but not flexible. The idea is to put a bend or curve in it and leave it. The bump end is a dense sponge material with a hard center.
This is a contouring tool, not a mopping tool.
The Original Bump is designed to extend the potter’s reach up to 18 inches while working in a hollow form. This gives the leverage needed to bump out, alter, or heal seams in the clay. The Bump's aluminum rod is stiff but can be altered to suit individual needs for throwing or sculpting clay. Please specify if you would like this tool shipped straight or set in an S curve (see photos). The sponge end is a dense, chamois-like material with a hard center.
