High Fire Terracotta Clay 4005

"I just wanted to talk a little about this clay… from a throwing perspective… I was tentative to try it as some reviews talked about it drawing blood ???? but I wanted a darker terracotta colour so decided to try. It is pretty groggy, but perfectly ok for throwing. But yes, more suited to an experienced thrower maybe. Don’t be afraid. It’s lovely! Also, the listing says to only take it to 1200 C but the info on the bag says 1250 C. I’m going to trust the bag! "

"This clay is great to build coil pots with, though I would only recommend throwing with it if you're fast - it has quite literally drawn blood because I took too long to center! Fires to a beautiful red, great result but yes, definitely stick to handbuilding with this one."

However, I went to throw with it (as stated in description for throwing) and it was far too course and I had to stop immediately!
