Small Plastic Test Sieve

PVC construction makes these test sieves ideal for sieving stains and test batches of glaze. Their small size also allows them to be easily washed and cleaned without leaving previously sieved colours to taint your glazes.

Use a rubber rib or your hands to work the glaze through the sieve. We have found 60 Mesh to be the best size for most of our cone 6 glazes, however many potters use the 80. Each glaze may require a slightly different mesh. Be careful with the 100 mesh screen, you can actually screen out ingredients that you actually need in the glaze base. The 100 does give the finest most consistant glaze surface.
