Scarva Earthstone Extra Smooth Clay E/S10
As ES/5 Original but uses a very fine grade of flint. Has a broad range of applications.
It matures between1150-1280deg.C.This unusually wide range means that it can be high biscuit fired to 1150deg.C for low temperature earthenware glazes, or biscuit fired at 1000deg.C for mid-temperature earthenware or stoneware glazes.
It throws and casts extremely well and takes sprigged or stamped decoration.It is highly resistant to warping,cracking and thermal shock.
This body fires very white to give an excellent base for colour decoration.
