Underglaze Powders.
Please note that our underglaze powders are pigment only and don’t contain any glaze material.
To create an underglaze you need to mix with a China clay and a frit as well as water or universal medium.
A suggested recipe is;
- 1 part Underglaze powder
- 1 part Grolleg China clay
- 1 part Frit 3124

This mixture is then applied to dust-free and grease-free bisque ware/greenware, and then can be covered with a suitable clear glaze.

- Powdered underglaze colours will last forever if stored in a dry air tight container.
