Medium textured buff stoneware containing a fine - medium molochite grog pouring slip. Firing 900°c - 1280°c
Our pouring slips are in reference to our paperclay bodies only which because they contain fibres they aren't used for casting, so aren’t suitable for being used in hollow moulds, people tend to use them to pour onto plaster batts or half moulds. Whereas our casting slips are used for being poured into moulds.

"I very much liked using this pouring slip. I was using it in a relief mould. It was my first experience of making my own plaster mould and using a pouring slip, but it worked so well I am buying more slip and making more items. The slip needed topping up during drying, which was to be expected, but came out of the mould easily when leather hard. The details were crisp and the object overall light but robust. "
