Ray Finch was taught primarily by Michael Cardew, who trained with Bernard Leach, the best known English Studio Potter of the 20th Century. His Pottery at Winchcombe has a worldwide reputation along side St. Ives in Cornwall as a training institution for young potters. Unlike Leach or Cardew, Finch has virtually no published writings to his name, so the interviews with him contained in this new title give a unique insight on a great potter.
