Information

For hand building with other clays to provide ’tooth’ this coarse textured open but plastic clay is unsurpassed. Refractory and nicely toasted colour(speckled orange-brown under reduction). Ball clay based with several specially graded grogs exclusively manufactured by Potclays. Low shrinkage. This is the original crank but to a revised recipe and remains the best crank body made. Coarse Texture.Brown Buff. Firing Temp.1170-1300deg.C
