Impressing and incising have been used as methods of decoration by potters throughout history. Today, these same techniques continue to be used by potters and ceramic artists worldwide, in creative and innovative ways. In this book, Coll Minogue describes the working methods of several of these ceramicists. Coll Minogue has been a professional potter since 1982, having previously taught ceramics at third level. She has worked in Australia and New Zealand as well as in Britain, and has had articles published in ceramics journals. An enthusiastic woodfirer, she has participated in a number of international conferences on the subject.
