There are over 1200 entries together with 500 illustrations (120 newly photographed for this edition), which include some three dozen step-by-step series of practical instruction on techniques and processes. Other useful data is given in the form of definitions, descriptions, formulae, recipes, analysis, charts, terms used in ceramics, materials and equipment - information that is vital to all potters.
