Cobalt Oxide
Information
The most powerful colouring oxide. This produces a deep blue or blue- black colour in lead and leadless glazes and a vivid blue in alkaline glazes. It gives good colour variations when used in combination with other oxides. 1 - 1.5% for a deep blue.
Pottery Tips
To remove oxide mistakes or for making a design, use a pencil eraser.
It won't smear like trying to wash the oxide off.

very good and rich color Written by Martin Gramblickaco.oxide has perfect color and it`s useful for "exterior" glazing. metalic effects are also very useful. only minus is high toxicity in raw state, i can`t say it`s ok after burning, who knows toxic or not, I never used it in any kitchenware pottery(from inside)
