 SHERILL MUD TOOLS     

 4 different stiffnesses. 4 different colours. Designed by potter Michael Sherrill, these ribs are made from a material known in the industry as the “stainless steel of plastics “ because of its wearing qualities. Unlike rubber this material will not develop burrs. The more you use it the nicer it becomes. These ribs will actually burnish themselves as you use them. The different stiffness and shapes will allow you to find the ones to fit your working style.

                               Ribs that don’t wear out, they just get better!

Some uses:  Red/very soft – burnishing rims, as a chamois, compressing slabs  

                                                   etc.                                      

                     Yellow/soft for smoothing, burnishing, porcelain throwing.   

                     Green/medium for compressing bases, burnishing out turning marks 

                                                general throwing.

                       Blue/firm great for hard burnishing, heavy compression and   

                                         throwing large work.

All are great for hand building
