Gladstone Clay Roller has been designed to provide an extremely efficient and reliable method of producing slabs of clay for hand building or producing tiles. It has been designed using our vast experience in slab roller producing and incorporates Scarva Gladstone's rack and pinion drive system eliminating the need of maintenance from troublesome wire drive systems. The design allows for variable thickness of clay to be rolled by adjusting the main roller using a simple threaded adjuster. This allows for fine accurate adjustment while keeping the equal distance above the table across its length. The large single roller is made of a rust proof material to avoid corrosion of the clay. The slab roller has fully collapsible legs so it can be easily transported and comes complete with a set of high quality rolling cloths. There are also optional hand wheel designs available. Clay slab sizes quoted are to give indication of capacity, as there are a lot of variables e.g. the amount of clay placed on the roller.
