CLAY EXTRUDER
A robust wall mounted unit that uses a sliding shackle lever system. This grips in any position so that the clay can easily be forced through the die, which is clamped in place using a flange plate with captive bolts, to form strips, sheets, coils, or hollow extrusions. For refilling, the shackle is tilted and the lever is used to easily lift the piston up the barrel. Dies can be made from a number of materials although plywood is perhaps the easiest to fashion.
